In December we found ourselves back at Rosewood London‘s Mirror Room to meet a some of our 2014 winners. As it’s the season of good will, we treated our winners to afternoon tea and a glass of bubbly to end the year in style. As you can imagine, on the night of the awards we were all running around ensuring everything went smoothly, which meant we didn’t have as much time as we would have liked to chat to our winners so we thought this would be a great way to catch up and learn a little more about each other.
If you were lucky enough to attend the awards ceremony or have seen the photos from the night you’ll know the Mirror Room is an impressive work of art in itself. As we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by stunning Christmas decorations and a huge glittering tree in the courtyard. Feeling festive, we were joined by our winners: Katy Orme from Apartment Apothecary (Best DIY Blog Award winner), Sarah Akwisombe from Sarah Akwisombe (Best Newcomer Blog Award winner), Jeska Hearne from Lobster and Swan (Best Designed Blog Award winner), Geraldine Tan from Little Big Bell (Best Colour Inspiration Blog Award winner) and Lucy Freedman from LucyWillShowYou (Editor’s Choice Award winner).
As the afternoon commenced we chose from an array of exotic teas, sandwiches, scones and cakes. Also, because it was Friday and it’s nearly very Christmas we even had a cheeky glass of champagne! Enjoying the exciting food laid out in front of us we sat and chatted for hours about career paths, interior styling, Christmas preparations, the future of social media and even reflected on #IBA14 as a whole. It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with such a lovely group of ladies and it was nice to get to know our winners a little more – expect to see big things from them all in the future.
Thank you to Rosewood London for having us and being such a wonderful host for the 2014 Amara Interior Blog Awards.
