Building on the success of their premium Wine Culture collection from last season, LSA International are launching Bar Culture for AW18. Consisting of intuitive, mouthblown designs for the luxury bar, the Bar Culture collection is defined by elegant proportions and a contemporary aesthetic. Not only is every piece handmade by skilled artisans, the collection is also presented in the premium packaging that has now become a signature for the Culture series – making it the ideal range for the discerning consumer who appreciates the subtle nuances of modern design.
Another specialist collection for the brand’s new season is Whisky Cut – an extension to LSA International’s best-selling Whisky collection. A modern interpretation of traditional cut crystal, Whisky Cut features refined and understated hand cut decoration. Each tumbler, decanter and jug is mouthblown and cut by hand on either side of its thick, weighty base. The collection also includes combination sets which make ideal gifts for someone special, or simply as a timeless keepsake for the discerning whisky drinker.
Elsewhere in the new collections, iridescent lustres are applied with striking effect to organically shaped vases and platters. Inspired by the shadows cast by an eclipse, each piece is individually mouthblown and hand-finished by skilled artisans. Other decorative highlights in the AW18 range include vases inspired by the trees of a wild forest, coloured with layers of pigment cased inside clear glass. For the table, luxurious gold and platinum décors on plates and drinkware and textured glasses with tactile grooves offer a distinctive touch for special occasions and the season’s upcoming festivities.
In addition to brand new ranges, best-selling collections have been updated with new pieces and brass and cork now complement LSA International’s signature use of glass, wood, leather, enamel and porcelain. Last year’s best-selling Gin range has been enhanced for AW18 with the addition of a larger size balloon glass, plus pieces that are either embellished or cut for a decorative finish. Ivalo’s signature combination of glass, sustainably sourced ash wood and hand knotted leather is reiterated in seven new designs – mini and large stands and domes for serving sweet or savoury bakes, serving trays inlaid with cork and a trio of wooden boards for cheese, charcuterie, or canapés.
The City collection has been extended to include statement serveware designs for modern presentation, whilst Gio’s popular range of minimalistic tumblers with clean lines are joined by stackable tumblers with a linear, textured finish. These glasses can be used as tumblers for drinks, bowls for olives or nuts, tealight holders or individual dessert dishes. Bar and Balloon collections have also extended to include a range of textured and classic balloon glass designs.
