The Winners

Over 700 unique blogs were nominated in the 2016 Amara Interior Blog Awards and over 40,000 votes were counted in the voting stage to reveal the 65 strong shortlist. The expert judging panel were faced with the difficult decision of whittling down the shortlist to just thirteen blogs and on Thursday 21st October the 2016 winners were announced at the glittering awards ceremony.

The 2016 winners are shining examples of the vast and varied interior blogging world and inspire those around them to keep persevering with their own blogs with each fascinating post. Their knowledge of the interior industry and the wider blogging world, provide interior enthusiasts and experts the world over with the latest news, trends and insights that make sure readers always come back for more.

Highlights from the IBA16 Awards

The #IBA16 Awards Night

Held at the Kit Kemp designed Ham Yard Hotel for the second year in a row, the 2016 awards ceremony was a sophisticated affair hosted by interior design and TV personality Sophie Robinson and was attended by all of the shortlisted bloggers, judges and sponsors. The cocktails and canapés delighted guests and headline sponsor LSA International’s signature anniversary tipple went down a storm.

The Ham Yard theatre was once again the setting for the ceremony with its bright orange leather seats and blue velvet drapery and saw fourteen bloggers in total walk away with awards exclusively designed by Cutture. Kimberly Duran was awarded the top prize of the evening for her blog Swoon Worthy which was named as the 2016 Bloggers’ Choice recipient voted for by the shortlisted bloggers.

The Judges

The 2016 judging panel was made up of an expert group of individuals from within the interior industry including business leaders, creative specialists and the winner of last year’s Editor’s Choice Award. Meet the 2016 judges…
