The Amara Interior Blog Awards 2019 campaign will involve numerous key dates to remember throughout the coming months. This helpful timeline will ensure you don’t miss a thing throughout this year’s awards, from nominations to the unveiling of the shortlists…
1pm BST – 1st July
This is the first stage of the Amara Interior Blog Awards and marks the launch of the new awards’ season. At the nomination stage blogs need to be nominated in the appropriate category and each blog requires only one nomination to go through to the voting stage. Please ensure that the blog you are nominating is in the correct category by reading our judging criteria before you make your nomination. We reserve the right to move any blog into another category if we feel it would be better suited elsewhere and any non-interior related blogs nominated will be removed from the awards process. This year we will also be splitting blogs into two territories, UK and the rest of the world, so please be aware of where the blog you are nominating is based before you submit your nomination.
5pm BST – 31st July
After four weeks of nominations, this stage of the awards will close allowing us to collate all of the nominated blogs’ information ready for the all-important voting and judging stage. All blogs at this point will have been informed of their nomination ready for voting to begin.
10am BST – 7th August
The voting stage of the Amara Interior Blog Awards is the key interactive stage of the campaign. This is the time for nominated bloggers to pull out all the stops to ensure their blog receives all the votes it can. The next four weeks are the ideal time for bloggers to share their nomination on social media and with their email list, to ensure their loyal followers know they need as many votes as possible to help them make the shortlist. If you follow any interior blogs religiously and want them to make it through to the final stage, now is the time to vote for them.
12pm BST – 4th September
After four weeks and what is sure to be tens of thousands of votes, the voting stage will close, it is then time to combine the votes with the judges’ scores to determine who has made the shortlists which will be announced in just over a week’s time.
This process will work on a points system with points awarded to both the blogs with the most votes in their category, along with points awarded by the judges of each category to their favourite blogs. This will create an overall score. The five highest scoring blogs in each category when the points have been totalled will then be sent through to this year’s shortlist, with the highest scoring blog from each category crowned the winners at the awards ceremony.
12:00pm BST – 12th September
This year we are splitting the blogs into two different territories, UK and the rest of the world, so there will be two shortlists per category. The six blogs with the highest combined voting and judging scores from each territory in every category will go through to the shortlist. These top blogs will be announced on 12th September and it is at this stage that we will ask all bloggers involved in awards this year to vote for their favourite blog in the shortlists. This blog will go on to win the coveted Bloggers’ Choice Award to be announced at the awards ceremony along with the other category winners. Please note: there will be only one winner of the Bloggers’ Choice award this year, not a winner for each territory like the main award categories.
Thursday 14th November
This year’s ceremony will once again be taking place at the prestigious One Marylebone near Regent’s Park where shortlisted bloggers, judges and sponsors will be in attendance to celebrate the best of the interior blogging industry. With a cocktail reception, sumptuous canapés and of course, the ceremony itself, the event marks the end of the 2019 Amara Interior Blog Awards and the new winners will have been crowned.
