Editor-in-Chief of Homes & Gardens and 25 Beautiful Homes
Deborah Barker is the Editor-in-Chief of both Homes & Gardens and 25 Beautiful Homes. Responsible for the editorial direction of both magazines, she influences everything from the houses featured to the style of decorating and the tone of voice. Originally trained as a graphic designer, she has over 30 years’ experience in the media industry joining Time Inc. in 2001. She was originally Editor of Country Homes & Interiors before being seconded to launch the highly successful website housetohome.co.uk in 2008.
Deborah joined Homes & Gardens in 2005 steering the magazine through its 90th birthday and into the multi-platform world with the launch of two successful blogs and a growing social media following. During her tenure, the magazine’s annual H&G Designer Awards and H&G Fabric Awards have gone from strength to strength, and Homes & Gardens have launched a series of licensed products including a fabric and wallpaper collection with Baker Lifestyle.
Deborah will be looking for blogs with strong voice and inspiring content that is presented in a clear and engaging way.
