Daniel Hopwood

Dan has been in the design industry for over 30 years. Aware that Interior Design is a career that requires both education and experience, he decided early on to experience both. Fresh from Yorkshire he started as an assistant to a furniture buyer at Harvey Nichols, thereby learning how to recognise quality and where to find it. As an admirer of craftsmanship, he spent a year studying stone and wood carving, gilding and polychrome work. Working for restorers, Dan gained knowledge of European antiques and how they were made, which he still uses today.
